Student Absences
All student absences or early pick ups, must be reported to the school office. Please do this by placing a phone call by 9:00 am or sending an email to Angie Blann and Brenda Garza stating the reason your child will not be attending school that day. Please be aware that if your student is absent and you do not contact the office, we will be contacting you to check on the status of your child.

The Wea Ridge PTO will be planning several events this year. They will need your help to make them successful!
Please join us for the first meeting on Monday, September 10th at 5:00 pm in the cafeteria. Please enter the building through door 16 (by the gym). All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Volunteer Procedures Changing
It is a priority of the Tippecanoe School Corporation to provide a safe learning environment for all of our students and employees. In an effort to continue our due diligence, we now require all volunteers having ongoing contact with children and/or supervising students (field trips, etc.) to have cleared an expanded criminal background check. These background checks are conducted through Background Investigation Bureau (BIB).
The criminal background check will search national sex offender databases, court records,and other sources. The cost of the criminal history check is $17.95 (base cost) and is paid for by the volunteer through a link on our website.
Once approved, the volunteer will receive a TSC Volunteer identification card that will be valid for a period of three (3) years. If you volunteer in multiple buildings, you will only need to complete one background check.
Volunteer background checks may take several business days to process so it is important to plan ahead.
We appreciate your understanding of this important safety guideline.

I would like to introduce myself, if I haven't met you already! I am the new nurse here at Wea Ridge Elementary and Middle schools. Please call or email me with any questions or concerns. I would like to remind everyone that students are not to deliver their medications to school. Medications should be delivered by an adult. Thank you for your assistance with this!
Also, we are in need of pants and shorts sizes 5 to 14, if you have any that you are planning to donate, we would be happy to use them!

Car Rider Line Information
We continually work to keep our students and staff safe inside and outside the school. Please note that the car rider doors or door #16 have staff members supervising the drop off area from 8:45-9:00am. At 9:00am staff members leave to begin their duties inside the school and door #16 locks automatically at this time. If your student arrives later than 9:00am, please bring them to the front entrance and walk them into school to sign them in.
It is very important that everyone follow the set car rider procedures. Please pull all the way forward and as close to the vehicle in front of you as you can. Make sure your student is exiting from the PASSENGER'S side. It is dangerous to exit from the driver's side and slows the line. Please say your goodbyes before your child gets out of your car. This will help to expedite getting students and staff in the building to start the day.
