Words from Mr. Simmons...

We had a great last week of September!  Thanks to everyone who attended our Leader in Me Parent Night where we discussed Habit 1, Be Proactive.  Our staff members had a great time planning this event.  We are also so excited that Boomer from the Indiana Pacers will be here on Wednesday to present an anti-bullying slam dunk show.  We encourage your student to wear Pacers gear or blue and/or yellow for the event!

We are looking forward to our Fall Festival on October 12th!  Thank you to our awesome PTO for putting on this great event!  We hope that you can attend!  We are also looking forward to seeing you at Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 16th and October 18th.

Have a fantastic weekend!  We look forward to a wonderful October with your student!

important notice

Important Information From The Nurse

State policy states a school must have updated Immunization records and Birth Certificates on file for each student at the start of the school year. We are still missing some of this information. If you know you have not sent in these records please do so. The nurse will be sending letters out to the students for immunizations and you should have received one already for the birth certificates. Records Must be updated by Friday, September 28 or your child will not be able to attend school until we have this information. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.

Want to Volunteer?

It is a priority of the Tippecanoe School Corporation to provide a safe learning environment for all of our students and employees. In an effort to continue our due diligence, we now require all volunteers having ongoing contact with children and/or supervising students (field trips, ect.) to have cleared an expanded criminal background check. These background checks are conducted through Background Investigation Burear (BIB).

The criminal background check will search national sex offender databases, court records, and other sources. The cost of the criminal history check is $17.95 (base cost) and is paid for by the volunteer through a link on our website.

Once approved, the volunteer will receive a TSC Volunteer identification card that will be valid for a period od three (3) years. If you volunteer in multiple buildings, you will only need to complete one background check.

Volunteer background checks may take several business days to process so it is important to plan ahead.

We appreciate your understanding of this important safety guideline.
