2018 Christmas Parade Snow Prince and Princess

Be sure to watch Wea Ridge's Snow Prince, Adam Marshall and Snow Princess, Emma Draper as they represent WRE in this years Lafayette-West Lafayette Christmas Parade December 1, 2018 at 5:30pm.  In the event the Prince or Princess cannot attend the parade, our runners up are Mason Holdgrafer and Brooklyn Sutton.

Did you know? Lafayette's annual Christmas Parade kicks off the local holiday season. Letter carriers have walked in the parade every year to pick up letters to Santa. Come on down to Main Street on Saturday, December 1st, for the parade at 5:30 P.M. Bring your letters to Santa and include your address because Santa loves to write back!

Veteran's Day 2018

On November 12, 2018, Wea Ridge Elementary honored Veteran's. The students worked hard on learning the songs, making stars for their Veteran family members and art work they completed in art class. The American Legion Post #11 also visited to help with the program events and show the proper procedure on how to fold the American Flag and what each fold symbolizes. Our Veterans each received thank you cards and a carnation bouquet. Thank you to everyone that helped to make this program successful. And special thanks to all the Veteran's!

From The Library:

Don't forget to read while you're enjoying some extra time away from school! Get caught up, or move ahead of your AR goal for the semester! Need a book? We have open library times most of the day Monday and Tuesday afternoon. We received over 200 new books in the library and they're ready for you to enjoy!

If you're missing a book, please search for it over break. Don't forget to keep books safe from, pets, food, drinks and young siblings and guests. Please make sure if your book travels with you, that you remember to bring it home.

Happy reading and Happy Thanksgiving!

Mrs. Blanchard & Ms. Janes

notes from the nurse with apple and nurse hat

The nurses office is in need of pants. If you have pants that no longer fit your child, would you please consider sending them into the school?  We are in need of all sizes in both boys and girls.  We also need boys shoes.

Please remember to send your child to school with coats, hats and gloves.

Thank you,

Kim Buckley, RN
