Words from Mr. Simmons...

We hope that you had a wonderful holiday break with your family and friends.  We had a great week back here at school. With the anticipation of snowfall this weekend, this is another chance to give a reminder to sign up for the TSC Notifications and Alerts.  Through this, you will receive alerts that will include alerts regarding school delays and cancellations.  Please follow the link below to sign up.

On another note, please put on your calendars that parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for February 5th and 7th.  Your conference time will be the same time as your spring conferences. Teachers will send these reminders out soon.  If you have a conflict with your time please contact the teacher.

We look forward to another great week.  Have a great weekend!

- Mr. Simmons, Principal

Attendance is very important for us here at Dayton Elementary! If your child is not here they are missing out on key academic learning. Each month we celebrate the classroom with the highest attendance for that month. For the month of December Miss Kitchell's class had the highest attendance with 98.7%. Great job Miss Kitchell's class!

We would like to welcome some new faces to the Dayton family.

Starting January 17 Claire Journell will be our new music teacher for the rest of the school year. She was Mrs. Howard's student teacher first semester and did such a wonderful job! We are excited to have her!

Student teachers for the semester are:

Mrs. Korty's class has Kylie Gahimer

Ms. Miller's class has Skylar Smith

Mrs. Clute's class has Katie Lewandowski

Information From The Office

Per TSC policy if your child will be missing school due to vacation or an extended time you must submit a request in writing to Mr. Simmons. We have a new form that will need to be filled out at least 5 days prior to the days that will be missed for approval. Forms will be in the office.

A Note From The Nurse

With the cooler weather bring lots of germs. Please make sure to encourage your child to cover their cough and wash their hands regularly. This will help prevent the spread of germs.

Leader In Me Habit Home Runs

Be on the look out for our next habit home run sheet to come home. We are working on habit 4, Think Win-Win.

Think Win-Win focuses not on just me but we. Where each person benefits from the relationship or decision. You both win!

Please send back the home run sheet so we can recognize your child being a leader with habit 4.

Bulldogs, keep hitting it out of the ballpark!

Going Green

TSC supports "green" efforts and as such to help ensure students receive information about community services or events, flyers from non-profit outside organizations are posted online in a section called E-flyers. All E-flyers can be accessed from any TSC School website:, by clicking the 'students' or 'parents' link in the upper right hand corner of the webpage. E-Flyers will be posted on the 15th and 30th of the month so be sure to check regularly for newly posted information. If your qualifying organization is interested in posting an E-Flyer, go to E-flyers section to submit the information.
