Daylight Savings Time Ends

Please make sure to turn your clocks back 1 hour this weekend. Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 5.


7 Habits Parent Night

Join us on Thursday, November 30 from  6:00-7:00 pm in the cafeteria to learn more about the 7 Habits. We will go over what the kids have been learning and what you can do at home to better partner with us to help make great leaders in our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

Dayton's Snow Prince And Princess 

Congratulations to our Snow Prince, Noah Bower and Snow Princess, Sarah Luban. Our runner up's are Brennan Johnson and Avarey Benker. Come show your support during the Lafayette Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 2 at 5:30 pm.  


Food Finders Food Drive

Dayton's SAC members are asking for your help. We will be collecting non perishable food items to donate to Food Finders. Our food drive will start Monday, November 6 and go through Friday, December 1. Thank you for your support.



PTO Peeler Fundraiser

All peeler forms and money were due today. If you did not turn them in please make sure they are in no later than Monday. Thank you.


Yearbook Contest

We are looking for our next cover for the 2017-2018 yearbook. Our theme this year is, "Lead Like A Superhero." Please have your child incorporate our theme into their cover. All covers must be on white, unlined, 8.5 x 11 paper with a 1" margin on the top, bottom, and sides. The student's name and teacher's name must be on the back in pencil. All entries are due by Wednesday, November 22.


Cyber Safety

Wainwright will be sharing a presentation on Cyber Safety for Kids. This presentation is sponsored by the Indiana State Police and the Crimes Against Children Task Force. Please click the link below for more information. 


McCutcheon Holiday Bazaar

On Saturday, November 11 from 9:00am–2:00pm  McCutcheon High School will be hosting a Holiday Bazaar with Over 100 Vendors. Come and start your Christmas shopping with us by supporting our McCutcheon Bands and local vendors. Admission is free. 




Save the Date

The Dayton PTO will be hosting a Pancakes with Santa breakfast in conjunction with a Holiday Craft and Vendor Show hosted by the Dayton Mothers Club. This will be at Dayton Elementary School on Saturday, December 16 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.


McCutcheon Color Guard Winter Clinic

Join the McCutcheon Color Guard at the Winter Clinic on Saturday,January 13, 2018, from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. Learn flag spins, build technique, learn a new routine, and more! Please see link below for more information.


Box Tops

PTO is doing another Box Top drawing. Please turn box tops in by Friday, December 1. Your child will be entered to win a free movie night ticket and snack pack.

A Note From The Nurse 

The nurse's office is in need of boys underwear and pants. We will also take any children's clothes that you would like to donate. Also if your child has come home with clothes from the nurse please make sure to return these. Thank you.



With cooler weather here please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for out door recess. This includes long pants, coats, hats, and gloves. 



If you have not already paid for book rental fees for the 2017-2018 school year please send payment in as soon as possible.







If you receive free or reduced lunch then you owe $28.50.
