Thursday, April 26th we will host our first Dayton Elementary Leadership Day. This is an opportunity where Leader in Me schools showcase student leaders and the 7 Habits. Leadership Day will include student speeches, student tours, and a question and answer panel. We have interviewed and selected students for each leadership role. We look forward to hosting and allowing our students to truly shine. We have invited community members and other schools interested in the Leader in Me process to attend.
I never take for granted the positive school culture we have at Dayton. The Leader in Me program has allowed us to honor the greatness in everyone. Thank you for partnering with us on this journey.

Are You Moving?
It is that time of year to start looking ahead to the next school year. If you plan on moving and know your child will not be attending Dayton for the 2018-2019 school year please contact the office at 447-5004. It is important for us to know in advanced so we can get class lists in order. Thank you very much!
Kindergarten Roundup
We are very excited to meet our new incoming Kindergartners next Wednesday, April 11th at 6:00 pm. Please plan on attending this important meeting with your child. If you have not registered your upcoming kindergartner please call the office at 447-5004.
Spring Pictures
We will have Spring Pictures next Wednesday, April 11th. This will only be for students that have returned form and money by picture date. Extra forms are in the office if needed.

Bulldog Jog 5K Color run
We are getting very excited for the Bulldog Jog 5K Color Run on Saturday, April 28th.
This is open to everyone, all ages, serious runners, families and anyone just looking to come out and have fun while supporting our school.
*Registration will be open up until the start of the race on race day, however, you must register by April 20th to receive a race t-shirt
*Register between March 31st and April 20th :
$30 per adult runner
$15 for kids 8-16
Children under 8 free ($6 per t-shirt if desired)

Dental Safari
Due to low numbers for the dental program Dental Safari has decided to cancel the visit to Dayton Elementary. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Golden Apple Award
TSC is now taking Nominations for next year's Golden Apple award. Nominations are due April 30, 2018. Please click the link below to nominate a teacher that you feel deserves this honorable award.

Mobile Library
The Mobile Library will be visiting Dayton from now through May. There location will be on Nicely Drive from 5:00 pm-5:30 pm on the following dates. Just look for the Mobile Library truck.
