1 to 1 Initiative

Student using a Chromebook

As students evolve, so do the systems and tools that shape the way we engage, inspire, and empower them. The goal of Tippecanoe School Corporation's 1:1 initiative is to provide students with engaging, rigorous, student-centered learning experiences where technology is utilized in meaningful ways. By having equitable, 24/7 access to technology, students will leverage 21st century skills to collaborate with others, communicate effectively, think critically, and be creative in solving problems and completing tasks. For more information about technology and digital learning at the TSC, please view our Digital Learning Blueprint.

Since 2011, each student at both TSC high schools has been provided with a laptop for use at school and at home. During the 2015-16 school year, a pilot program was introduced at East Tipp and Wainwright Middle Schools that provided each student at those schools with their own device. Beginning in the 2016-17 school year, the 1:1 initiative expanded to all six of the TSC middle schools, resulting in approximately 7,000 students having the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve in a technology-rich learning environment!

This site has been developed for students, parents, staff, and the general public as a resource to learn about the 1:1 initiative at the TSC and how technology and digital resources are used to support student learning.
