CLASSROOM AIDES/PARAPROFESSIONALS

Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, the aide/para assists the teacher with a student or students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives. The aide/para may also assist with supervision of students. Job postings will specify the type of position available at the time the vacancy is established, but flexibility is key as needs in a school environment often fluctuate.

These part-time positions earn up to $16.48 an hour, work up to 30 hours a week and follow the student, 180-day calendar.

BUS DRIVER

TSC school bus drivers are valuable members of our corporation. Our drivers derive a great deal of satisfaction from the safe transportation of our students to and from school. There are also ample opportunities for overtime with the many extra-curricular trips that our schools schedule throughout the year. Our Department provides paid training for those who need to obtain licensing.

Starting salary is $23.34. Average route times are six hours a day. Benefits are available for those who work over 30 hours a week.

CUSTODIAN

Custodians are responsible for maintaining an attractive, sanitary, and safe facility for students, staff, and public. These are full-time positions that require dependable applicants who can work individually as well as in a team.

Starting salary is $17.11 an hour with a full benefits package.

FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT

This position requires an ability to get along with others, be able to work as a team and be dependable. Customers must be served in a friendly, quick and courteous manner using proper serving techniques and portioning guidelines. Employees must perform routine tasks and manual work under immediate supervision in support of TSC Nutrition Services and perform a variety of tasks in preparation, service, and delivery of food products. 

Food Service Assistants are part-time positions that earn up to $16.48 an hour and follow the TSC student calendar.

NURSE AND HEALTH ASSISTANT

The primary purpose of a school nurse is to keep students healthy and safe so they are ready to learn. School nurses are full and part-time and health assistants are part-time following the school, 180-day calendar. Starting salaries: RN $33.57 an hour, LPN $25.43 an hour and assistants $17.70 an hour.

Health Assistant –  LPN, QMA, CNA or First Responder preferred

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

The substitute teacher provides a valuable service to the district by implementing daily instructional plans of the classroom teacher while maintaining a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.

Substitute Teachers enjoy flexible scheduling while earning $105 a day and may qualify for benefits and incentives. Subs must hold a valid Indiana Teaching License or Indiana Substitute Teacher Permit. Once selected for hire, TSC can provide instructions on obtaining a Substitute Teacher Permit if you do not already have one.
