Kindergarten 2026-27
The Tippecanoe School Corporation is now welcoming its newest learners, with kindergarten registration open for the 2026-27 school year.
Families are encouraged to contact their child’s school to begin the registration process. School offices will share important next steps and provide information to help families prepare for the upcoming school year. School phone numbers are listed below.

In addition to initial registration with the school, families will complete online registration through PowerSchool starting July 7, when registration opens for all grade levels. Schools will provide families with a PowerSchool username and password prior to the online registration window.
To complete registration, families should be prepared to provide their child’s immunization record, proof of residency and a legal birth certificate (not the certificate issued by the hospital) or passport. During the PowerSchool registration process, families will also enter emergency contact information.
Children must be five years old on or before August 1, 2026, to be eligible for kindergarten. Families who feel their child would benefit from waiting an additional year may choose to delay enrollment. Families who believe their child is ready for kindergarten but does not meet the age requirement may apply for early entrance through the TSC superintendent by completing the Early Entrance to Kindergarten form.
Early entrance decisions are based on a child’s date of birth and available space. If applications exceed available space, priority may be given to children with birthdates closest to August 1. Early admission is not guaranteed and will be granted only when it is in the best interest of students and the school.
Families who reach out to their school will get helpful guidance and updates to feel prepared and confident for their child’s first day of kindergarten.
