Thursday, August 6, 2020 Hello Hershey Families! We are almost there! We are working hard to have a safe and happy start to the school year and are so excited to be together again!
We Need YOU!
We want to find some awesome people to work with your children! Please help us spread the word to anyone that you know would be interested! Have them call Mrs. Fields or Mrs. Keeling for additional information. 765-269-8280
Virtual Learners
If you have a Kindergarten virtual student, you may pick up that student’s device, as well as that of any siblings, on Monday, August 17th, from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.
If you have a Grade 1-5 virtual student(s) in grades 1-5, click the link to the Sign-Up Genius to select a time slot on August 17th or 18th. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4DA4A82CA5FDC25-virtual
If you have more than one child for virtual learning in grades 1-5, you only need to select one time slot to receive all devices.
If you have trouble accessing the sign up sheet, please email Mrs. Keeling at llkeeling@tsc.k12.in.us.
School Meals
In the email that you will receive on the 17th, you will be asked to let your child’s teacher know if they will be eating breakfast at Hershey on a regular basis. We understand that there may be times where they will unexpectedly need breakfast and, in the event that happens, we are asking you to notify the teacher prior to the start of the school day. In the past, students were able to go to the cafeteria in the morning and pick up their breakfast and were not required to give advance notice. This year, we will need to deliver breakfast to the individual classrooms and, for that reason, we need to know in advance how many students will be eating and plan for delivery.
Elementary breakfast is $1.20 and lunch is $2.00 per day. One milk is included with breakfast and lunch and no additional milk may be purchased at this time. Milk only may be purchased if a student is bringing a lunch from home and the cost is $0.50.
No cash can be accepted in the cafeteria for milk or food payments. Teachers must collect any cash payments in the morning and submit it to the office. We are encouraging all breakfast, lunch, and milk payments to be online if possible. You can visit the TSC Nutritional Services page for more information on payment options at https://tscschoolnutrition.mealviewer.net/#payment.
Thank you in advance for your help and understanding.

Be Prepared
Masks and Face Shields All TSC students will be required to wear a mask whenever social distancing is not possible. Due to the physical space of our classrooms, masks will need to be worn at most times throughout their instructional day. We hope to be able to utilize our vast outdoor space and take students outside as much as possible for a “breather”. Many of you have been exposing your children to masks and helping them build stamina. Thank you! Approaching this mandate with a positive attitude will go far in helping your child with this new way of doing school.
TSC Provides School Supplies Reminder: TSC is providing school supplies for each of our elementary students! While your child’s teacher may ask you to provide a few things here and there, the bulk of what is needed has been purchased and is waiting for your child to enjoy.
