The TSC Board of School Trustees recognized the winner of this year's student art contest at its May 9 meeting. Second-grade student Tessa Claus from Wyandotte Elementary received a certificate and $50 for her winning entry. Her framed creation will be displayed at TSC Administrative Offices.
The Student Art Recognition program started in 1990 and rotates between elementary and secondary school submissions. A committee of art teachers and administrators judge the artwork that is submitted by art teachers from each school.
The 2018 art contest runners-up are Octavio Chavez and Katie Gardner of Klondike Elementary School.
