The Tippecanoe School Corporation is pleased to announce Kirk Booe has joined the administrative team as assistant superintendent of secondary curriculum and instruction. He is replacing Dr. Doug Miller who accepted the position of superintendent of Sheridan Community School Corporation.
Booe spent the last eight years as the superintendent of Covington Community School Corporation. Prior to that, he served as principal at Covington High School, assistant principal at Rockville Junior/Senior High School and taught science and physical education at North Vermillion High School.
Booe earned his bachelor's, master's and educational specialist degree from Indiana State University.
Booe joins the administrative team to oversee curriculum and instruction in grades 6-12 and assist schools in reaching their academic potential. He will supervise districtwide academic programs, including strategies for improvement. He will also serve as chairman of the Wildcat Creek Career Cooperative.
"Booe has extensive knowledge and valuable experience managing multiple facets of school operations," says TSC Superintendent Dr. Scott Hanback. "We believe his collaborative leadership style will help strengthen our instructional programs and improve educational outcomes for all students."
"I am looking forward to starting this new chapter in my career and the opportunity to work in the TSC to provide students with excellent educational opportunities," says Booe.
