The Tippecanoe School Corporation will host a school safety forum at 7 p.m., August 9 at McCutcheon High School. The TSC Director of Safety, school resource officers with the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office and other school safety specialists will provide information and updates regarding security measures, programs, services and other initiatives related to safety.
TSC Superintendent Dr. Scott Hanback says working together we can address a growing concern for schools across the country. "Parents, teachers, students, and others in the community are invited to join the discussion on how we can work together to keep our schools safe," says Hanback. "During the forum, our safety team will share steps we have taken to enhance school security and what resources are available to deal with mental health and public safety concerns. We want our families to be informed of the measures that are in place, as well as listen to any concerns they may have."
It is a priority of the Tippecanoe School Corporation to provide a safe learning environment for all students and employees.
