Burnett Creek service project helps to feed others
Sue Scott

Third grade students at Burnett Creek Elementary School formed an assembly line to pack 200 lunches for Lafayette Urban Ministry (LUM). The organization uses the bagged meals for people who are experiencing homelessness.

Families donated the items including cans of tuna, chips, snacks and bottled water. The students filled each bag with food items then added a card they created with a word of kindness or encouragement.

The bagged meals will be distributed at LUM’s day program and warming station.
