Local dealership fuels learning at McCutcheon High School
Sue Scott

Lafayette auto dealer, Bob Rohrman Subaru, has selected McCutcheon High School for the Subaru Loves Learning program. The partnership comes with more than $12,000 in credit with AdoptAClassroom.org for teachers to purchase classroom supplies for students.

Principal Gloria Grigsby says 25 teachers were chosen across all academic disciplines to receive $500 each to purchase materials students need to learn and thrive.

“I am in awe of the generosity of Bob Rohrman Subaru,” says Grigsby. “These funds will allow our teachers to purchase needed materials for classroom spaces that may otherwise have not been possible to acquire. Our students’ education will be enhanced with these added resources. I am so grateful to Bob Rohrman Subaru for investing in the McCutcheon community in this way.”

Andrew Lane, the Love Promise Program Manager at Bob Rohrman Subaru, says the company hopes to make a difference in the lives of students through this partnership: “Millions of students in high schools across the country lack the supplies and learning materials they need to be successful in the classroom. In fact, 92% of classrooms have students whose families cannot afford to purchase any school supplies for their children, often requiring teachers to purchase resources using their own money.”
