The Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) selected Mayflower Mill Elementary School Principal Shannon Cauble as the Region 4 Principal of the Year. She was nominated by her peers for her excellence in providing a high quality learning environment for students and her local, state and national level contributions to the field of education. Cauble will be honored by IASP in November at the state conference and is in the running for IASP Elementary Principal of the Year.
Cauble has led the school of more than 600 kindergarten through fifth grade students since 2013.
Assistant Principal Jill Pinkerton says Cauble has a deep commitment and passion for the students, staff and families of Mayflower Mill Elementary. “She is a fierce advocate for a child centered culture in education,” says Pinkerton. “She works tirelessly to develop relationships and connections with every person she meets.”
“I feel very blessed to be recognized and am fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful staff, students and school community,” says Cauble. “My hope is that this award will highlight the amazing things we do at Mayflower Mill Elementary School and the TSC. No one can do this work alone. It takes a village, and I love my village!”
