The Tippecanoe School Corporation is pleased to announce it has hired Clint Wilson as the new principal of Wea Ridge Elementary School, effective July 1. He replaces Michael Gabauer who resigned to pursue other career interests.
Wilson returns to the TSC after serving two years as principal of Clinton Prairie Elementary School. He has previous experience as an assistant principal at Mayflower Mill Elementary School and Wea Ridge Middle School, as well as teaching fourth grade at Cole Elementary School. Wilson has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Indiana State University.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Wilson back to the TSC,” says TSC Superintendent Scott Hanback. “His experiences, leadership style and student-first mentality will help propel the entire school community at Wea Ridge Elementary to great heights. He is community minded and looks forward to serving the students, staff and families at Wea Ridge.”
As principal, Wilson will provide leadership over operations and services at the school of almost 600 students and 60 staff members.
"I am eager to get started at Wea Ridge Elementary and work alongside a great group of educators where we will continue to put children first,” says Wilson. "My goal is to foster a positive and collaborative environment where staff, students and families feel informed and engaged in our school community.”
Wilson’s administrative contract is subject to TSC Board of Trustees ratification during the board’s regular meeting May 13.
