TSC students honored in bicentennial writing contest
Sue Scott

As part of Lafayette’s 200th birthday celebration, students across the city were invited to reflect on its history, culture, and future through poetry and essays. Several Tippecanoe School Corporation students earned top honors in the Bicentennial Poetry and Essay Contest, showcasing both their creativity and community pride.

The poetry contest theme, “My Wish for Lafayette’s 200th Birthday,” inspired students in grades 4 through 12 to imagine the city’s future. In the essay category, students explored “What Makes Lafayette Greater” as they honored its legacy.
