The Tippecanoe School Corporation is pleased to announce it has hired Sarah Gustin as the new principal of Southwestern Middle School. She replaces Kyle Spray who resigned to pursue other interests.
Gustin has 15 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. She most recently served as principal of Delphi Community Middle School. She served as an assistant principal at Wea Ridge Middle School for two years and taught English for several years at McCutcheon High School. Gustin holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Indiana State University.
"We are excited to welcome Sarah back to the TSC to serve as the principal of Southwestern Middle School,” says TSC Superintendent Dr. Scott Hanback. “She is an energetic, collaborative and engaging leader with a passion for working with middle school students.”
As principal, Gustin will provide leadership over operations and services at the school of almost 500 students and 40 staff members.
“I hope to create a true school community where relationships matter, where students and staff feel supported and where both social and academic growth are nurtured and celebrated,” says Gustin. “My priority is doing what’s best for students.”
